Paparan Harga app for iPhone and iPad

This mobile app has been developed and published by the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Malaysia or KPDNKK under the 1Pengguna program with the intention to help all Malaysian consumers out there to become better buyers of products and daily items while at the same time helping them to reduce their spending and cost of living.
This mobile app is integrated with the 1Pengguna PriceWatch or Paparan Harga web portal which is available at http://1pengguna.com/paparanharga and is designed to provide consumers with an easy tool to check the daily prices of all the basic grocery items (114 items at start) at all stores and markets in all areas in Malaysia. With the app, together with minimal internet access, users can check on demand the prices of the items and compare them in just a few touches. Users can then can decide where to purchase the items based on their needs and convenience.

Another feature of the app is that users can check the price trend of a grocery item within a specific area within a period of a week, month or year. This way, users can see a graphical trend of the price of the item and may understand on its price trends and make their own informed decisions as to when to buy the items for their consumption.

Another feature that is available is a grocery list feature that allows anyone to create their own list of items to purchase and on demand, they are able to check which store or market location provides the best value for the whole list of items so that they become better consumers, shop at fair price stores and help them save money.
